The Cabin

Your Stay In Our Cabin

Extra Details not on Booking.com or Sykes website

During your stay with us in the cabin there are details that are not contained within the Booking.com/Sykes descriptions.

  • Directions

When coming from Outwell, sat nav's have a tendancy to want to take you off the main road onto Pius Drove which is just after the Co-Op.  Ignore this and stay on the main road and continue on through to village.  When the road crosses the river at the Creek Pub, stay on the right hand side of the river and continue onto March Riverside.  On the right you will see Robinson's transport.  Turn right onto Thurlands drove, continue past Robinsons.  There is a group of three houses together and we are the last white house on the left.

If you use What Three Words the address is: ///innocence.volunteered.masterful

Please park next to the Mardi Gras parking sign.

  • The Cabin

Checking in/out - the earliest we would like to see a check in is 15.00, and the latest is when you arrive here.  For the check out, so long as the cabin is not let on the day of your departure, check out around lunch time is fine with us.  However, if we are let that evenng then it's 10.00 please.

Opposite the cabin there are three stables and the middle one has a larder fridge which you are welcome to use the left hand side. Luggage can also be stored there but be aware that the stable is open and although we would like to think we are quite safe out here, we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused by other animals that may decide to pay us a visit.  Out here we occasionally have visits from deer, foxes and the odd badger.  There are also fresh eggs in the stable for sale at £1.50 per half dozen.

We have supplied some basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper and some herbs.

The TV is a Freelyview TV.  This enables you to watch normal TV as if through an aeril.  Feel free to use the other apps if you have your own log ins.

The cabin is no smoking however you are welcome to fume on the decking area.

If you need deck furniture please let us know if it's not already out.

If you need an iron and ironing board, let us know.  You are welcome to borrow ours.

The WIFI is Wavelink-N and does not need a password.  It is linked to the router in the house so is secure.

  • Children and Camping - £20 for your stay

If you are bringing children and they would prefer to camp, then please feel free to bring a tent with you.  You can pitch this within the cabins own garden, or our garden.  Please do not pitch "animal side".

  • Paddocks

You are welcome to wander around the paddocks and view our animals.  Take some old footwear, and if it's been raining, waterproof footwear is a must.  However, please be aware that the animals do not know you and may be a little shy to start.

Always keep the billy goats in sight as they may be aggressive and be very careful of their horns.

If you have dogs then they MUST be kept on leads please.  If your dog continues to bark at the animals then please leave it back at the cabin.  Please pick up any mess.  The bin for this is behind the between the garage and the feed store.  Dogs can run free so long as a paddock is empty of animals.

All the fencing has blue/white electric rope and this is always live, obviously don't touch and never let children grab it.  It is mains fed and will hurt!  On the boundary fence there is a "hot wire".  This runs from the end of the shelters to the top of the site and is bare wire. It's better not to touch the boundary fencing at all.

These paddocks are secure and so long as the house gate is shut, nothing can get out.

Gates to be closed behind you at all times please.
